How We Rate Online Slots Sites

Every rating on this site starts the same way: the whole team signs up at the same casino and plays it with real money for a few days. If we come out ahead, the winnings get split among the employees. Accounting calls it review week. We call it the best part of the job.

Why we do it this way

Plenty of sites rate casinos off a press kit and a screenshot. The problem is that a slots site only shows its real face when your own money is on the line. Deposit pages behave differently than demo pages. Support answers differently when you are a paying customer with a stuck withdrawal. So we test the way you would actually use the site, on our own accounts, from signup to cashout, whether we are reviewing the legal, state-regulated sites or the offshore ones.

The seven steps of every review

1

We register real accounts, the same way you would. We note how long it takes, what documents get demanded and whether the site respects the state lines it claims to. Any friction you would hit, we hit first.

2

Deposit

We fund the accounts with our own money and log every option that works, every one that fails and every fee that appears where no fee was advertised.

3

Claim the bonus

We take the welcome offer and read every line of the terms, because a big number with a brutal rollover is not a bonus, it is homework. What the offer is actually worth goes in the review, not what the banner says.

4

Play every type of slot

Classics, video slots, progressives, hold and win, Megaways if the site has them. The whole team spends days in the lobby, which is how we catch the thin catalogs hiding behind a flashy homepage.

5

Contact support

We ask support real questions, some easy and some annoying on purpose. Speed matters, but so does getting an answer from a human who actually knows the product.

6

Withdraw

The step where good casinos and bad ones separate. We cash out for real and time it to the hour, through more than one method when the site offers them. A casino that is slow to pay does not get a pass from us, ever.

7

Evaluate and score

The team compares notes, argues, and settles on a rating against the criteria below. The editor breaks ties. Then the review gets written from what happened, not from what the casino says about itself.

What we score

Ten things decide a rating. A site does not need to ace all 10, but it cannot hide a failure in any of them.

States acceptedWhere you can actually play, verified against the operator, not assumed.
Legal or offshoreWho regulates the site, and what that means for you if something goes wrong.
Slot optionsDepth and range of the lobby across every major format and type of slot.
RTPHow the site’s return to player stacks up, and how transparent it is about the numbers.
ReputationTrack record, ownership, licensing history and how past problems were handled.
Deposit optionsMethods that work, minimums that are fair and fees that are disclosed.
BonusesReal value of the welcome offer and ongoing promotions after the rollover math.
Withdrawal options and speedHow you get paid, how fast it lands and whether the site invents obstacles.
Rewards programsWhether loyalty play earns anything a regular slots player would notice.
Other game optionsTables, live dealer and everything else, for the nights the reels need a rest.

What the score means

Ratings run to one decimal on a five-point scale. Anything at 4.5 or above means the team would happily keep playing there with our own money, which, given how our office feels about slots, is not a low bar. A score in the 3s means the site works but something meaningful holds it back, and we will tell you exactly what. Below that, the review itself explains why you can do better.

Casinos change, so scores are not carved in stone. When a site overhauls its lobby, its banking or its bonus terms, we go back in, replay it and re-score it. No casino can pay for a rating, a placement or a kinder sentence. The fastest way to a bad score is to be slow paying us, because we test with our own money and we remember.
